i’m about to have it done 😊
As someone who's done this job twice on a 2011 mazda 3 I think you can't understate just how finicky it can be to reinsert the strut into the knuckle. Maybe the pre 2009 versions like im the video are differennt but the knuckle definitely doesn't just slide back up. There's a lot of wiggling, hammering, shimmying and restarting involved. Keep that in mind, peope. You'll be able to do it but you'll hate yourself for a good few hours.
Aren't you supposed to wait to tighten the 3 screws on the mounting plate once the tire is put on and the suspension system is under its full weight?
Love your channel bro im doing this in mechanics course on what your doing your be surprised what you can do in les 1 hour once u know how to do it lol
They need changed… Cause I failed inspection. Lol
I like how he says you can tell if they’re bad because it’ll “almost feel like you’re driving a trampoline,” that’s what I’ve been telling everyone since I’ve had my car lol
Amazing l! Thank ya u find r adding so much detail
Awesome vid. do this and then get an alignment and good to go. thanks.
After replacing the two front struts on my car, I've noticed that it has become quite bouncy. What might be causing this issue?
This is the passenger side, the drive side needs the cv axle loose to put the new strut in
Great video. But I thought you should put the tire on and lower the car down before torquing the 3 bolts?
Thank god ChrisFix used a Mazda 3. Lowering my Mazda 3 and wow I hate my car
What about the 2 bolts in the hood one of mine is straight up and the other is abit sideways and creaks when i turn wheel… strut looks good and i bought like 1 year ago both sides but i hit a deer.. can this be back allingned or did it go bad
What about spring clamps? I'm working on a 72 super beetle.
You make me wanna try this myself but im scared to if it goes wrong as j dong have that torque wrench thing
Did u need a wheel alignment
I am taking it in. Cv boot popped up shaft. Never again will I touch my car. I'm done. This job defeated me.
