I have a mechanic who was replacing my alternator, he claims that I ruined all of his work by putting my foot on the accelerator after he “successfully”got my new alternator around the belt. I literally started my car gave it gas and he says my belt popped bc of that, ive never had this problem with my car if anyone can tell me if it was actually me or did he never have the belt in place?
but how do you know its the alternator ??
I have a CL 500 and whenever you have to change one “easy” part you have to disassemble 10 other parts :/
Wow that alternator IS easy to put on! Too bad I got a pivot bolt in my car at the BOTTOM ugh.
Thats a turbo you clown
I was able to replace alternator and battery with new ones but still not charging battery. I disconnect battery and engine turns off, I check with meter and reads 12.5 v with engine on but that's what the battery reads too so nothing higher when engine is on. Can this regulator prevent power or alternator from charging battery? On Town and Country 2011.
One question is the same in a Ford Ranger sport the battery turns on on the dashboard but it is not the battery
I'm switching out my alternator while watching this (reminds me of that video with the guy fixing his car and not sure how to do it so he plays Chris fix videos on it) 😂
Man I gotta say I've watched many videos for my car from oil changes, breaks, sensors and tune up. Your video was the easiest and most descriptive for dummies, really appreciate the time and effort.
When the bolt snaps cuz it's so old and you shit your pants.
Great video!
this is really interesting
Make it look so easy but my 06 eclipse gt was terrible to remove
This wasnt even a half hour job on my 02 4.0l ranger. Good stuff the original lasted almost 21 years. I had to use the same type of cheater bar to break em' bolts lose.
Very detailed easy to see clear video recoding Thank you
Still difficult for me 😢
Awesome video, I followed every step to replace the alternator on my Ford Ranger 2004 XLT 4.0, Thanks ChrisFix you are the man
