Does it matter which way I install the bulbs? I have a 96 Ford Explorer and I changed the bulbs today but I see no difference. The needles light up and everything else lights up except the numbers.

I have a similar issue but instead of the bulbs it's the functions of the cluster not working, such as temp, gas, rpm, and so on. Sometimes I don't even have any power in my cluster and I have to drive with no info.

Quick question relating to this topic. I took out my instrument cluster on my 2009 Mazda 6and when I put it all back together the instrument arrows on the 4 items, fuel, temp, speed, tach does not seem to line up right. I had to take them off to get to the lights, They come right out and basically go right back in and I figured once you start driving they would just adjust but it dont look like they are, any suggestions? Nothing really appears broken. Thanks.
