Coax cable stripping. Learn how to strip a coax cable for TV. I use a RG6, twist on F connector rather than a crimp on f connector so there are no special tools. This is for my Fios Cable TV and it works great!

The goat
Hey if I run a coax for the cable company where do you think they would prefer I stop it and how much wire?
I love watching your old videos, it shows how far you have come. Good job
Whether its with cars or cable installation and connectors great guide to keeping headaches away! Chris you are appreciated
Thanks ๐
Man you know you are in luck when you get w chris fix vid even its a old one
Yo I have the internet box cable that already has that bit but I need help with the wall end like the bit you screw that onto because the cable is there but not the thing that you screw it onto
This is the best how to video on fixing cut off coxial cable. Very clear instructions AND excellent camera work WITHOUT any camera shaking OR out of focus.
Do not use twist on fittings. They're a VERY common failure point.
Compression fittings are the standard now. You can either buy the tool and do it properly, or you can use a twist on end, and then pay someone else to come fix it down the line properly.
If you're spending all the money on new flooring, buy the proper stripper and crimpers and use the proper f-connectors. For less than $100USD you can do it properly and have the tools needed for the next rooms in the house! ๐ฉ
Your "hey guys" evolved much better now than back in the ol days
Yo Chris fix has a wii
Ey, you have to diversify….๐
Hey guys…
So actually, you're never supposed to cut a coax cable with a blade unless you're fishing the cable and eventually using the right fittings and tools to strip and crimp the cable once it makes it to wherever your end point of the cable will be. Cutting with a blade will interfere with your signal somewhere along the line. Also, never use pliers on your devices to tighten up connectors. You can loosen up the components inside your device, which can cause irreversible damage.
Thanks for the information. I'm (trying to) install cables for the friend of one of my friends, and she bought a big hank of cable but no connectors ๐ Being only a programmer, I had no idea how to do this!! I need the gig ($$) so you just saved my bacon!
Didn't think I would need a chrisfix vid for anything else except cars but here I am haha
Ahh. Your thumbnail is different …
