Has anyone tried repeatedly changing only the brake fluid in the reservoir method over a period of several weeks? Although not perfect, I believe this "Turkey-Baster" method does somewhat of a good job as a lot of the brake fluid eventually circulates throughout the entire system anyways and the brake lines will eventually fill with new brake fluid.
Can someone please tell me if either my dad or my uncle is right? My father absolutely refuses to budge and even starts getting angry when I tell him my uncle did it the same way in the video with opening the valve before you tell the guy to press on the brakes for 2 person method. My father is adamant about that you open it and let the air out for a bit BEFORE ever pressing on the brakes.
thank you!
Thanks Chris Fix. Your videos give diy’ers the confidence to tackle any job. Back in the day I only the Haynes manual to refer to and that was very limited help lol. With my handiness with tools and YouTube as a guide, I feel like I have all the advice I need. 💪🏼💪🏼😎
Are you using a first person view camera? Sure looks like a first person view in your videos. Either way, excellent job on these things.
ONE OF THE BEST DIY VIDEOSS I'VE YET TO SEE. GREAT JOB
That's was quick and you make it look easy. What size clear tube is that?
What if air does go in the system is that bad?
Thank you for that video. God bless you!
Thank you for the videos, you've saved my @$$ more than you know.
That brake fluid looks darker than my morning coffee. I'm offended. 😂 Thanks for the video! Just got a car, and this is one of the checklist items that has not been done for a while.
Excellent video Chris! One thing I'd like to add and verify with you is that I hear you shouldn't pump the brake pedal to the floor while bleeding the brakes (especially if the fluid is very dirty) because this can lead to destroying the seals in your Master Cylinder. What do you think?
