Too many mechanics overtight the balljoints using the airwrench. That will cut the life of them a lot. Most Balljoints only need 60-80- pnds torque. Any bushing or tip part with grease on needs no more than 80 pnds on most cars and light trucks. Nuts or bolts that dont move might need more than 100 pnds depending on the part. Buy a torque wrench or rent at parts store. Im a bilingual shop instructor and shop manager.

This is what happens when you buy aftermarket ball joints. They are all basically garbage. Spend the extra couple of dollars and get a genuine ball joint it will last 10x as long
