Great video. Thank you.
Man I am so glad I found your channel I literally knew nothing about cars or how to fix them but the way you break stuff down it makes it sound simple enough for average people with no proper training to do it themselves and save hundreds if not thousands. I recently just changed a tie rod and ball joint on my 2017 Nissan rogue all from your videos!
have exactly same as yours in video, have lower ball joint stuck, heated, tapped on, lubicated, no good, any idea's?
I'll never do what you do but I like to watch your video's
That edit with the rubber mallet. 🤣🤣
My question is if the ball joint is leaking fluid does it need replacement?
The ball joint press can be used screw side up to press the new ball joints in so you can use an impact drill on it. Great video, I have loved all of your content over the years.
You don't need to replace the entire upper control arm. you can just replace the upper ball joint. here is the moog part number for the upper ball joint on your "truck". Here is the Moog part number for the UPPER ball joint: PART NUMBER: MOOG-K8738
Great job!!
so no gloves and safety glasses
My ball joint slipped out the socket today. Is it okay to just change out the ball joints or do I also need to change the control arms?
It is easier to use the ball joint press with the thread side up. The C clamp has an opening to allow the new ball joint bolt to pass through. No need to jack up the truck too much.
