Make spark plug wire looms out of zip ties. When you replace your spark plug wires, odds are you will break a wire loom or two. Sometimes it is hard to find special wire looms or looms for your application so a cheap yet effective way to protect your plug wires from chaffing and melting against the exhaust manifold is to use zip ties. It also makes your engine compartment very neat and organized!

Excellent tip thank you very much
Sweet old school video. I saw these on a buddies truck and wanted to know how to do it. I knew ChrisFix would have it covered.
I would have never thought to use zip ties like this as I always carry a whole bunch of various sizes and colors. Great video and I just learned something today because my '96 Silverado has some of the spark plug wire clips broken. I just ordered new spark plug wires high performance and it came with clips but in a bind or a pinch and to last a while the zip tie trick is amazing. Thank you for sharing it I never would have thought.
Brilliant.👍
Nice fix – great video – but they will fail when they heat up and cool over and over again…. ask me how I know this.
Perfect Chris tx. Those looms are very expensive here where i live.
