This shows how to change out the Multifunction Switch on a PT Cruiser or Dodge Neon. The fog lights would stay on and drain the battery even in the off position... This replacement will work for any PT Cruiser. The multiswitch is a well know problem for Pt Cruisers but it can be easily fixed with no special tools. The job takes 30min if you take your time. I got the part for $60 so shop around. A job like this done at the dealer would cost anywhere from $200-$400.
Here is the part I used that will fit any 2001-2005 PT Cruiser: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BI3JJW8/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00BI3JJW8&linkCode=as2&tag=chri0e2-20&linkId=DZTENBJATNHX5KPE

Just replaced fog light switch on my '02 PT. My original fix was to take the fog lights totally out of their sockets. But now after your simple step-by-step instructions, my fog lights now work too. EASY as you stated. Thank you!
Well done, Start to finish.
my battery keeps draining new battery 2002 pt
@chrisfix I needed this video since my low beams were not coming on, love your content.
This video is excellent in showing closeup detail and providing explanations. I replaced one of these switches years ago on a different PT and watched another video that was not nearly as good as this one. Now I'm back to replacing this on my new/old PT GT. The only thing I would add is that while you are waiting to get the switch you should probably remove the fuse for the fog lights. That could save your battery.
Just bought the part and fixed my car in the parking lot of an Autozone with this video and $50!
Thanks for your help, very simple job
Thanks. I need to swap mine.
How to change door mirrors
Alright guys! I changed mine out with a junk yard variant. Victory! Praise the Lord Jesus. I am not certain on the battery issue, but the headlights are remarkably brighter. Time will prove the battery issue's success. Thank you sir for the geat video.
Question, why do u have to take off the negative battery terminal?
Thank you so much!!!
