Fix a cracked or chipped windshield yourself. If you do not fix a chip in the glass as soon as possible the chip can turn into a crack overnight! It is easy and costs $10. I don’t think that would pass Virginia state inspection. You can have a small crack, even medium sized crack, like at the very top or bottom of the windshield, but if it’s in your actual field of vision that’s a fail.
