This video shows how to clean a blue claw crab (Callinectes sapidus).
-Please put your crabs in ice water to numb them so this is as humane as possible. Then just follow what is done in the video. It is easy...
There is a recipe at the end of the video and below:
water
vinegar
1 dozen live blue crabs
1/2 cup OLD BAY Seasoning
DIRECTIONS (from the old bay website)
In a pot with a raised rack (minimum of 2 inches high), add equal quantities of water and vinegar to just below level of rack. Bring to a boil.
Carefully layer crabs on rack; sprinkle each layer with OLD BAY. Cover and steam for about 10 minutes depending on size of crabs or until crabs turn red.

That is the worst cleaning method I have ever seen

So did you remove the bottom plate too?
Sick ass foo !!! ❤
Eyyy
This guy can explain anything! Chris you have such an awesome natural way of talking and explaining things. If you were a teacher you could explain rocket sience and make it seem easy and understandable.
Thanks for stabbing me in the head
Thank You so much for this video ❤️
Why would you do this???!!! To Marylanders this is sacrilege!!! Leave the shells on and then steam them! To each their own but you will never find a true Marylander cook steamed crabs this way!
I just like reading the comments after the video of course,y’all arguing about if a crab has lungs and how delicious the mustard guts are lmbo
Rename it to "How to brutally kill a crab"
Lol I have never seen this done in southern maryland. It would-be the day someone clean my crab. I feel like your losing alot of flavor that way
I prefer the side method but nice never used a knife to open a crab 🦀 😅
Short and sweet. None of that "Hey guys it's ya boy on another episode etc."
You guys got to remember that this is ChrisFix. We need a remastered version of this video!
