Love the Jaguar. It will never need a dip stick. The owners manual recommends replacing the car at 55 thousand miles. 😊
So what you are saying is that it's a myth that you will damage your transmission by changing the fluid….BUT then you detail all the various ways you will damage the transmission by changing the fluid. Why not just state the obvious? State if you are going to change the fluid and its black and nasty then perhaps you shouldn't. Also one might want to keep that old fluid in case their transmission slips so they can put it back in
Thanks Chris
Very diligent thank you
Can changing the transmission fluid make your transmission slip? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not damage it though.
GREAT VIDEO!
Great video!
No annoying music or wasteful dialog. Just to the point with intelligent information.
Excellent and helpful video !!! It is always a pleasure watch and listen to someone who knows …. Good job !
Another great video from Chrisfix. I have watched several, and they are the best car repair and maintenance videos on youtube!
Those clutches in that nissan trans look amazing. If i remember correctly, they are similar to motorcycle clutches and black/burnt is bad, and the golden brown is normal wear
What about changing it when it's in "okay" condition? My second gear is starting to slip and I am debating on changing the fluid. It's not new fluid but still pink and nice.
great info
Had an older lady give me a 1996 Honda Accord with 135k miles. She’s never had the transmission flushed. Should I just add onto the old oil? Or get it flushed the transmission doesn’t slip or run rough.
In case the tranny fluid is burnt up and has never been changed in 100 miles, would successive partial fluid changes every 2 months or so allow a slow and gradual removal of sludge that wouldn't be too drastic and would prevent potential clogging of the valve ? It would be like a slow and gentle cleaning of the gearbox.
Why would anybody have an automatic in a Corvette. I hate automatics
