So I broke my adjusters is there any way to align or fix them without buying new headlights
i legit cant believe you turned off the headlights to put the tape on the wall lmao lord save these kids
Thanks Chris! I bought some aftermarket halo headlights for my BMW and not only was the passenger side lowbeam REALLY low compared to the driver side, but I can't see ANYTHING at night or early in the morning unless I turn on my high beams. I finally got the passenger side up, but they both needed to be aligned properly. My OEM driver side headlight was hazed on the inside and even though I wetsanded and buffed them, the driver side still looked bad. A single side OEM headlight assembly was $250 for a used one that looked just as bad or worse, so I bought the LED halo lights for $225 with all of the bulbs and harnesses included, but you HAVE to align them properly. Sadly, I didn't, but I'm trying to now.
I’ve tried to adjust my headlights before but nothing seemed to work despite them having adjuster screws. They are the original style headlights just aftermarket not OEM. Any advice on how I can somehow get them adjusted?
I like the info here and believe it will help many people, but find it hard to believe this is aligning lights perfectly when a fence is literally the aiming board outside on a road at night. Most lights require a 1% negative gradient and the car should be squared much more acurately than a tape measure close then moving back. Better than nothing but far from perfect.
OMG, this is way too much trouble . I just have a shop do it !
If my car is lowered, should I just use the height of an average car side window as the reference to place the tape?
“I have placed a 25 ft. ruler on the ground”….🤣😂🤪…Try using a tape measure!!🤓🤓
Yah I can change my oil, change out some minor electric things, change my radiator.. now this. This is simply something I don't WANT to do. I'll have someone else do this for me for my money 😂
I thought the purpose of fog lights was to be aimed directly at the face of oncoming traffic. At least that's what people do nowadays. Really good job on this video, 8 years later and I still refer back to it whenever I need to adjust because it's one of the easiest to follow. And I absolutely love the results
All Americans are excited about what is normal practice in Europe and checked every one or two years in testing centres.
I keep having people flash me at night…but I have my low beams on for them. This video is just what I needed! I didn't even know my car had an easy way to adjust the lights like this!
So confused
Just use off shore fog lights, you can see everything and people seem to drive off the road to let you pass
Why tf does having half a gas tank matter? 😅
This is actually wrong. Your lights should not be even. The passenger side beam should be 2-3 inches higher than the drivers side. The drivers side light is what blinds people. So you adjust the drivers side even but keep the passenger beam higher allowing it to shoot a beam down the road ahead.
My headlights look nothing like this, I'll look somewhere else🤣😊
