Learn to replace a pressed wheel bearing in a Ford, specifically a 95 Ford Windstar, but this method will be similar for all pressed bearing vehicles.
The main steps are to take off the spindle nut, tire, brake caliper, and rotor. Then remove the bolts from the lower control arm ball joint, tie rod, and strut. Remove the steering knuckle, then press out the bearing and hub/spindle. Then press in your new bearing and hub/spindle. This job is a little more complex but can still be easily done by any amateur mechanic. You will save $400-1000 depending on your vehicle.

I know its super late but if you freeze your new bearing overnight at least it will shrink a tiny amount and fit back into the hub easier! U joints and ball joints will be easier too! Ever since I learned this ive had no trouble getting bearing or joints back in!

I sooooo wish it were that easy for me. Mine was on a much newer vehicle, axle nut, frozen on and stripped completely in the process 2 strut bolts, frozen on, had to drill out both bolts, Lower control arm bolt, frozen on. Stripped the nut in the process. Installed new hub assembly and bearing that I had to pay to press, that unit failed 4 days later, stripped the new CV joint I just put on, wrecked my rotor and brake pads. Had to remove the bearing and hub assembly to return to the store, they have no more in stock to replace with, now have to go to another store and get the unit, go back home and reinstall, still waiting on another new CV axle and this entire time I have been without a vehicle, this has been an absolute nightmare and has made me decide to NEVER EVER EVER work on my own car again ๐คฌ

Very good video. Be aware if your re using the hub, often the old inner race gets stuck to the hub and it has to be pressed or cut off! But you had a new one ready to go!
