No grease inside the rod ends? Weak.

Very well made and detailed video.
i was watching because i had some foolish idea that i might somehow learn this myself, having never done a damn repair on a car in my life, and consider doing it….first thing i started thinking after minute of watching is: "its 2023 and with millions of car experts out there in the world,THIS?……..is still the best design? im sorry it seems so damn rinky dink. maybe its just because i design equipment and im never satisfied with what i do.
Best to get a new rack n pinion which comes with inner tie rods already installed.
If I needed to replace one of the boots only…how would I find that? the only ones i have found online do not have the fitting for that small tube..
I forgot to do the spins😳
Hi, I tried to replace my outer tie rod. The jamb nut was solid locked. It took me a long time to loosen it. However that being said, it never loosened. I heard a break sound and the whole inner rod was able to spin. This gave me the ability to remove the outer rod. However I'm afraid something isn't right. The jamb nut is still frozen in place. Do you think it's possible I broke free the inner rod? Should the inner rod be able to loosen/tighten by hand, after I heard the break free noise? I've never done tie rods before.
