Part 2: http://youtu.be/qGpojymCRNU
How to troubleshoot your gas dryer, how to fix a gas dryer, gas dryer wont heat, fix a dryer that wont heat. My gas dryer would not heat up so I will show you the four main pieces in the rear of the dryer that should be checked using an ohms meter. It is very easy to do and ANYONE can do this. Just to get this thing checked by a technician would cost $100. Then any parts, which are 4x the price you can get them at, plus $100 or more an hour for labor. By the time you are done, they will charge $250 to fix your dryer (half price for a brand new one). This job takes 1hr if you take your time, and the parts cost under $10... Please like the video if it helped and comment if you have any questions at all.

I don't know if someone already notice this or not, but the second thing you tested in the back of your dryer you replaced the black wire on where the red wire when,.so did that make a problem with that thermostat?

Thanks for this training. It helped me to troubleshoot and permanently fix the problems with our dryer not heating. Turns out the guy who my wife bought a second-hand dryer from did a botched job of repairing the machine before he sold it to her. I found electrical wires exposed that caused sparks and was shorting out the dryer. There were also other things done that was just not done well but they are now all fixed.

Hey Chris. My igniter is turning on and the flame appears but about 10 seconds later the flame goes out. Then a minute later the igniter lights up again n flame comes on then goes out. Could it be a bad valve? All other components have resistance

Oh my goodness young man you saved grandma from looking like a total idiot! I watched another roper video for my dryer. I ordered the parts package for an electric dryer. Pulled it out took it all apart as I stepped over the gas line. lol Thank goodness the thermal fuse was the same for both. Anyone need an electric coil for their dryer? lol!

It’s funny that in every other video that I’ve seen, nobody ever mentions that after you’ve fixed what was wrong you should test the dryer only when put back together or else the flame would keep turning off. I’ve replaced every sensor up to even changing the complete burner when I didn’t need to. I was very frustrated until I saw your video and for that, I am very grateful. Thank you so much. Thumbs up and subscribed.
