Is it necessary to primer it if i will be using red?!
Just dip the caliper in Cetric acid/water bath and warm the solution with a aquarium heater to 100 degrees. The results will be far superior and less sanding.

Why did you not try to mask the pistons. Do you just stay away from it and know since it’s thin that it will eventually flake off?
