I put new rotors pads and calipers on my truck and it makes an awful grinding noise since then. It’s been a month and my right cv axle leaks a bit but it seems to come from both sides. Anyone have any idea why?
My brakes don't make any noise or vibrate while driving or applying them. BUT once stopped, I hear like a grunting noise as if the front of the car is reacting to stopping completely.
Hi Chris, my brakes have been squeeling non stop recently and my brake pads were replaced about a year ago so I brought them in under warranty and they replaced the pads, didn’t work, then they added an anti squeak and cleaned the rotors and pads, didn’t work, and then they said I have to replace my front brake calipers, didn’t work which I paid $1000 for.
Asking for some advice
I think the new bracket that hold my pads is rubbing on my rotor. 😅😅
The 3M paste can no longer be found anywhere. What's a good alternative? Pretty sure most brake part lubricants are still petrol based …
My dad has been complaining the brakes on his truck make noise similar to this since he took it to the shop.
Time to follow these steps and see if we can fix the problem.
You rock Chris.
I've got a 2015 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L and the front passenger side makes clunking sounds on even slight bumps and a wobble/clunking sound when I press on the brakes coming from that tire
On my mums car we had an intermittent whining noise "whoooooooooooooooo", she taught a wheel bearing but when it was looked at we found out we had bad ball joints, however having them replaced didn't fix the noise and it was later discovered that the brake pads were wearing thin and the rotors were pitted, scored and excessively rusty, the car hasn't made the noise since the brakes were replaced
Thank you chrisfix! For saving me at least $500-$800!
I had to replace the brake calipers and after that my car started making very annoying squeaky noise. Pads and rotors were very new. So i was confused.
Watched a lot of videos no solution until i watched this video and learned that i have to use lubricant on metal to metal points etc.
No more squeaks, I’m very happy! Thanks again!
I recently got a brake job on my 86 Silverado. Now when I drive down the road I get a constant chirp/whistle, it tones down a bit when I press the brakes or at higher speeds. I am going to take her in but maybe you can offer some advice and what it could be
Awesome 👍
