I come back to this video every 4 years
I have the exact same meter as you. When I check my battery the prongs of my meter get super hot & start smoking. I get a reading of 1. My truck still starts. Any suggestions as to whats wrong?
Where do we venmo you the $150 diagnostic fee? ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
If mine drops to 9.75 after starting it how much longer do I have before I should replace it? Itโs been about 3 years on this one.
I have a 1973 Maverick with a new battery it wouldn't start there is no clicking nothing no power at all what do you think it is
My carโs battery voltage dropped to 9.5V when I started my car then again went up to 13.99V.
What should I do?
Iโve own and mismanaged several cars over the years and this guy has helped me maintain them so much better than I could have imagined. Thanks

Could this cause a fault ecm ? Start stop fault?

Been a fan for years and now finally, I get to use one of your videos and this is the one. All these years and these old videos are still helping people. Thanks Chris!
Edit: been a while since I heard the shy version of the iconic HEY GUYS CHRISFIX HERE ๐
I took my lawnmower battery to a parts store and they put a meter on it and said it was no good. They wanted to sell me another battery. I told them the battery had been sitting for two years so asked if they could try charging it. The guy said, it was a goner. His exact words. I said ok, thanks, and took my battery and went to parts store up the street. They charged it and THEN tested it and said it was fine.
Parts store are not always honest especially with older women so I found this video helpful so I can get a meter and test my own batteries.
