What do you do of the car has recalls that the owner hasn't had fixed? Can you negotiate the price down for that even if the dealership would fix it for free? Could take time to get parts for an older car perhaps.
I think you were very stingy that I didn't pay at least two thousand dollars for the car, especially since he let you film it, you weren't going to be poor because of 100 dollars.

My sister had purchased a 2000 Dodge stratus back in 2013, it had 140K miles on it so it seemed reasonable, she paid about $1800 for it, but 3 weeks after buying the car, the fuel pressure in the system dropped when the car got hot while driving. We later found it it needed everything in the engine bay replaced, belts, power steering pump, motor mounts, tires, brakes, wheel bearings, water pump, exhaust, suspension was garbage. She sadly way overpaid for it because she wasn’t informed further about looking for the right information and negotiating for a used car. It has now been sitting in our backyard for 10 years now
This entire series is great information. I wish I would have watched this before buying my previous used car. I dare say you can even use these tips when going to a dealership. I, sure they wouldn’t be expecting a knowledgeable and meticulous buyer. Great price. That $100 does make a difference. Ppl here judging you over the $100 obviously don’t work for their money. When buying a used car every dollar counts because you have to invest that much more to get it open running. Thanks again Chris.

Recently bought a older 'city' car. Asking price £3K. Lots needed replacing – exhaust, tyres, brake pads, engine & transmission fluids. Offered him £2K but he would only drop to £2.5K. I accepted this because I was able to do the work myself, and £500 would cover the parts. But if I'd had to get a garage to do the work, I'd have left it. Seems that people rarely sell a car where everything's good. So, always check inside, outside, under the bonnet and under the car so you know what you're getting. Thanks for the video!
