Pulley wear will cause your pulley to squeak. A worn out pulley bearing or a worn spring in the tension pulley can also cause squeaking. I show you how to use water to identify what type of squeak problem you have and then how to find the problem.

wow, big help. I feel super comfortable doing this myself. Thank you! my 2004 Lincoln AC/heater only operates on the highest level, I heard its a blower resister motor problem. do you have any videos on fixing it?
hello there cris…i just want to ask how much amount of torque do i put if i replace guide and idle pully on a SMART FORFOUR W453 model?..thank you very much..
Can a problem like this cause a battery to drain in someway like it’s causing the alternator not to properly charge the battery?
Do idley pulleys need to be replaced as well when changing serpentine/tensioner??
So when i took off my idler pulley where the bolt goes in has been damaged due to the idler pulley mustve been loose rubbing against ut for a while bolt was also a little messed yo and not so straight anymore so im afraid it's mess up the inside which i assume is the bracket that also holds the water pump as well (1996 jeep grand Cherokee laredo v6)
That is the tension pulley not the idle pulley. The idle pulley is grooved.
I already changed all brand new purlly with new belt. But it still noise.
Hey Chris I am on the side of the road 😢 and I believe my idler pulley is gone. I want to replace it. I have a 2005 sprinter.
My pulley seems to be on the other side of the fan however. Any thoughts. In a diagram I found online I believe it is pulley #7 idler pulley. Just above the alternator.
Is the replacement the same? It looks like the pulley is gone.
Thanks for any info.
Hello Chris, my car only squeals (same exact noise) when i drive off and stops within a minute or so…would this be a bad pulley? Thanks for the great video!!
What vehicle this is? Hahaha
The pulley just to the right of that one starts spinning then stops, once every 6 seconds. Please help 🙏
Dang 10 years ago this was a 20 dollar fix! Cost me 119 dollars today….
Tools? Torque wrench? Or do you just hand tight the pulley bolt?
hey quick question if u replaced the idler pulley and it still moves a litttle doesnt that mean the new one could be bad thanks
So i can't put my fingers in the way off the belt while my car engine running… damittt i was looking forward to losing some of my fingers off😂😂😂… only idiot without a brain would place thier finger in the way as the engine is running, then it woould't suprise me how many idiots are out thier that will do it.😂😂😂😂
